Recently someone asked me, “Do you write?” after I had spoken to them, and it got me thinking. We live in a world where our thoughts and feelings are muted. We don’t actively address any of these things because we live in a society that doesn’t accept them as valid. So I decided to start writing about my experiences, my thoughts, and my encouragement as a way of therapy—for me and for you—and to help break that stigma. Addressing the struggles of mental illness, and learning to cope with it in a way that brings peace and happiness, hopefully my experiences reach out to you in a way that makes you feel like you are not alone. There is hope. We are survivors, and we are living proof that we are warriors against this thing that is our own mind. As always, feel free to reach out to me. I am always willing to share advice and comfort to anyone seeking it.
You may not win the battle.
But you will win the war.
